What's the big deal?

I understand that some people can't stand certain things, or get grossed out by certain things, but I think there's a line. I don't understand why having a cold sore is something to get so upset about?

Does anyone out there know?

Does a cold sore bother you that much that I have to be given the cold shoulder?

Maybe I should explain.

Yesterday when at school, I hugged my boyfriend. Woopty-shit.

Well apparently he wasn't in a "huggy" mood (Christ boys can be moody), and didn't tell me. So when I continued to hug him without knowing I was bothering him, he started to give me the cold shoulder.

I backed off after feeling the chill.

Then I made the mistake of telling him I was starting to get a cold sore. This is where things (without my knowing until much later that night) started to get bad. I soon started to feel like a leper, and the whole time, my boyfriend started to become very short with me.

So, to avoid the uncomfortable-ness, I left.

After work that day I asked him about it, and he explained that he wasn't in a PDA type of mood. Cool, whatever. It was the fact that after that he went off on a tangent about me not telling him that I got cold sores. (when you only get them once every year or so... you tend to forget about them). He sent me a link, explaining what they were and made it seem like I didn't know anything about them.

Yes, for fuck's sake I know it's a type of fucking Herpes. The most common kind, I don't need some 25 year old nerd to explain it to me.

"We'll sort this out in person" he says

What does that mean?

Am I getting dumped over a Cold sore?

Wow.
